Colorful Flower Festival in St. Filip and Jakov
Zadar is one of the most popular and interesting cities in Northern Dalmatia, but it turns out that the surrounding towns also have a lot to offer. From extraordinary monuments to interesting regional events and events that can significantly diversify our stay in Croatia. One of such events is the Flower Festival in Sveti Filip i Jakov, which our team at the Crowonder Polish Tourist Agency highly recommends seeing.
Some information about Sveti Filip and Jakov
Between Zadar and Šibenik, right next to the town of Biograd na moru, lies St. Filip i Jakov. It is a small town that has a lot to offer to tourists looking for a smaller and quieter place to relax. It owes its name to two apostles, for whom a church was built here in the Middle Ages. Life is very peaceful in this picturesque town. The inhabitants earn their living mainly from agriculture, viticulture and tourism, so you will certainly find homemade wine, honey and olive oil here. From the waterfront there is an amazing view of the Pašman Channel and the island of the same name. In Sv. Filip and Jakov there are our Crowonder villas and apartments, where the whole family or a group of friends can spend a pleasant time in the upcoming season. Filip i Jakov is a great base for trips to surrounding cities, including Zadar, which is only half an hour away, but also for private cruises and Croadventure tours.

What is the Flower Festival?
This is an annual festival that takes place on the last weekend of April and lasts for 3 days. The tradition of organizing this event began at the end of 1998, when the town of Sveti Filip i Jakov took part in the provincial competition for the best-ordered urban space and won. In the following years, this success was repeated, so in 2001 the city authorities came to the conclusion that it was worth taking advantage of the good fortune and creating the Flower Festival. It was supposed to be a symbol of how residents care for the city and decorate it with colorful plants, making it neat, clean and colorful.

On this special weekend in April, both local and foreign exhibitors and producers related to the floristry industry come to the town. In addition to fairs and exhibitions, various programs and presentations of ancient customs, characteristic of this area and other parts of Croatia, are also organized. For three days you can take part in eco-workshops, lectures, flower arrangement competitions, exhibitions and fashion shows. In addition, there are also theater performances, which include performances by preschoolers from the Zadar Voivodeship, primary school students, cultural clubs, Dalmatian a cappella singers and animators.

This is one of the most beautiful festivals that takes place in the Zadar area. The entire town is teeming with life, decorated with colorful flower buds, their sweet scent fills the air, and the surrounding nature comes to life, slowly preparing for another hot summer on the Adriatic. While walking along the streets of Sv. Filip i Jakovi, admiring the various varieties of plants, you can feast your eyes with all the shades of colors that only nature can create. For floristry lovers, it will be a great opportunity to see many species in one place, talk to professional breeders and spend nice time with the local people who will be happy to treat us to good coffee and snacks.

Good Time to jeden z naszych najnowszych obiektów. Położony jest w miejscowości sv. Filip I Jakov, w pobliżu plaży. Dom posiada 5 sypialni, 5 łazienek i przeznaczony jest dla maksymalnie 12 osób. Ze względu na dostępne w nim udogodnienia jest idealnym miejscem dla rodzin z dziećmi – znajduje się tu pokój gier z tenisem stołowym, stół do gry w bilard, stół do gry w piłkarzyki, lotki, trampolinę, a dla nieco starszych atrakcje takie jak basen, jacuzzi, saunę, siłownię, taras oraz kamienny grill. Apartamenty Sun Dance znajdują się w Sv. Filip I Jakov. Budynek składa się z dwóch apartamentów. Pierwszy z nich posiada 2 sypialnie i 1 łazienkę, natomiast drugi 2 sypialnie i 2 łazienki. Oba przeznaczone są dla 5 osób. Willa posiada podgrzewany 40-metrowy basen z funkcją jacuzzi, bardzo dobrze wyposażony taras z zestawem mebli wypoczynkowych, duży i zielony ogród z widokiem na morze oraz kamienny grill, na którym można przyrządzać posiłki dla całej rodziny. To idealny dom dla dwóch grup znajomych lub rodziny.
